Hi-Desert Medical Center community health education program presents:
The Dangers of Mixing Medications
Thursday, January 26, noon -- complimentary lunch
Hosted in the Helen Gray Education Center located on the medical center campus
A recent study of adults in the United States showed that more than 90 percent of people, age 65 and older, use at least one medication per week. More than 40 percent use five or more medications. Obviously, the more medications you take, the more likely you are to be taking two that don't mix. Even those just occasionally taking medications for a cold, headache, or infection could be at risk for medication reactions.
Join HDMC Psychiatric Nurse Syliva Warren, RN, BSN-BC, as she outlines keeping safe in a multiple presecription world. Bring your medications in a brown bag and bring your questions. Lunch will be provided.
The seminar is FREE but registration is required by calling 760-366-6324 or by completing the information below.
