HDMC announces new administrator for CCC
June 9, 2011

Hi-Desert Medical Center has named Jackie Combs, RN, MSN, as the new administrator of its long-term care facility, the Continuing Care Center (CCC). Combs has been with the healthcare District for seven years. Most recently, she has served as infection control preventionist, a post she will continue to oversee. Previously, she was the District's chief operating and chief nursing officer and has also been interim administrator of the CCC. She replaces Esther Tomaszewski who is stepping down into semi-retirement after serving as administrator for four years. Tomaszewski will remain in the District on a part-time basis as the CCC's coordinator of quality and resident safety.
The transition will occur over the next few months.
"While I am sad to see Esther step down as administrator, I am pleased she will remain in our district family," said Lionel "Chad" Chadwick, PhD., CEO. "I am delighted that we are replacing her with such capable leadership in Jackie Combs. She has proven her dedication to this District over the years, and I am confident that Jackie will pick up where Esther is leaving off. Jackie shares Esther's passion for the CCC's neighborhood concept of care, emphasizing personal and meaningful quality of life."
