The Hi-Desert Medical Center Foundation will celebrate the season by hosting their annual holiday tea, Sunday, December 7, from 2:00 to 4:30 p.m. The event theme is “A Dickens of a Tea” and will feature live strolling Victorian carolers and actors portraying characters from the beloved classic, “A Christmas Carol,” by Charles Dickens. Other activities include children’s crafts and story time readings, a visit from Father Christmas, a silent auction, a raffle and of course tea and delicacies befitting the holiday. Guests are welcomed to stay for the inaugural “It’s a Wonderful New Life” holiday tree lighting immediately following the tea.
Tickets are $20 for adults, $5 for children ages 6-12, and children under 6 are free. Please call in advance for reservations as seating is limited. For reservations, call Eileen Berne at the HDMC Foundation office: 366-6321.
The HDMC Foundation awards scholarships to local students pursuing careers in nursing as well as financial support to the Hi-Desert Memorial Health Care District to maintain and expand healthcare services offered to the community.
