Hi-Desert
Medical Center’s Volunteer Auxiliary
|
As
part of the Hi-Desert Medical Center hospital
team, volunteers provide important services that
are critical to the complement of care provided
by our professional staff. From registering patients
to running the gift shop, from working in the
emergency department to helping out in the new
family birthing center, volunteers are making
sure that the needs of patients, families and
visitors are met.

About
the Auxiliary
|
The
men and women serving the Hi-Desert Medical Center
Auxiliary continue a 28-year tradition of dedicated
service to our community. Last year, our active
group of more than 80 volunteers served the District
with more than 25,000 hours.
The Auxiliary Board governs
the membership, makes policy and acts as liaison
to district administration. Volunteers are recognized
for service hours yearly at a special luncheon.
The Auxiliary is an active group, and also raises
funds for hospital district programs and services.
Over the past few years, the Auxiliary has supported
major projects, including the Helen Gray Education
Center, the newly renovated emergency department
and the new family birthing center. |
Joining
the Auxiliary
|
You
may join the Auxiliary at one of three levels:
-
Active membership: $10 per year. All volunteers
must hold membership in the Auxiliary.
-
Patron membership: $15 per year (monetary
support, inactive membership).
-
Life membership: $100 one-time membership
with no additional dues. Participation
in Auxiliary affairs and volunteer service
is
encouraged but not mandatory.
|
